Update Regarding Tropical Storm Danny
As of 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Tropical Storm Danny was located approximately 390 miles east of Nassau and moving west-northwest at 12 m.p.h. The storm is expected to turn toward the north on Friday and track approximately 150 miles offshore, moving past the Outer Banks early Saturday morning as a minimal hurricane.
Dare County Emergency Management will continue to closely monitor Tropical Storm Danny, evaluating updated information from the National Hurricane Center. Based on the current forecast, no protective actions or restrictions on entry are anticipated. However, all residents and visitors are asked to closely monitor weather reports as conditions may change. Updates will be available on the Dare County website at www.darenc.com or by calling 252-475-5655.
